Classroom Policies – Virtual or Live
Cell Phone Use and Camera Policies :
With cellular phones and other wireless electronics escalating in use, the need for standard etiquette increases as well. We recognize that cell phones provide a certain amount of convenience; however, we must also recognize the importance of the enjoyment of the other members and thus the need for the following guidelines:
- Use the vibrate option on your cell phones during the classes
- Cameras and other image capturing devices are strictly prohibited during the classes unless all parties are in agreement to have their photo taken
Essential stuff to have/bring with you:
- Clean “indoor” shoes i.e., don’t wear them to class
- Water and a small towel – expect to sweat!
- Comfortable workout clothing
- PAR-Q/Participant Agreement if it’s your first class
- Your own hand weights according to your ability level 3-10 lb or more if desired
- Your own yoga style mat with cushion that won’t slip under your feet
- A great attitude so you can be ready to sweat and have FUN!
Virtual Class Tips:
- Test your ZOOM account to set up your AUDIO/VIDEO for the best experience
- Consider using a cable to connect your smaller device to a larger monitor or TV screen
- Consider connecting your device to a Bluetooth speaker for great, motivating sound
- Ensure your WiFi signal is connecting at a high level – more bars are good!
- Ensure your workout area is clear of debris to ensure you have a safe place to workout
- If your instructor can see you on screen, you will have the best chance to get feedback
- Be prepared and ready five minutes before class start time
- Use the CHAT feature to give any feedback or notes to the instructor for immediate issues
- Have FUN!
